Program Overview
WAACOC’s programs are designed to address the specific challenges faced by African American business owners. Our initiatives focus on providing financial access, educational opportunities, advocacy, and networking to support sustainable business growth.
Here are the key programs WAACOC offers to support Black-owned businesses:
- Entrepreneurship Coaching: Personalized, one-on-one coaching to help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of running a business, from managing operations to marketing strategies.
- Advocacy: WAACOC works at the local, state, and national levels to promote policies that benefit Black entrepreneurs. We collaborate with policymakers and other business organizations to ensure that the needs of African American businesses are represented.
- Grants & Capital Access: Through partnerships with financial institutions and government programs, WAACOC helps entrepreneurs access the funding they need to start or expand their businesses.

The Washington African American Chamber of Commerce was founded in WAACOC provides Business Masterclasses designed to give entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed. Our expert-led courses cover topics that are essential for every business owner, including:
