The Washington African American Chamber of Commerce (WAACOC) empowers Black entrepreneurs through advocacy, education, and access to financial resources. We believe supporting African American businesses can contribute to more robust, resilient communities.
WAACOC works tirelessly to create opportunities for Black-owned businesses to thrive, serving as an essential voice for African American entrepreneurs at both the state and national levels.
WAACOC serves the Tri-Cities area and is deeply committed to promoting economic development and social equity through business growth. Our mission is to bridge the gap for Black-owned businesses, providing the tools, resources, and advocacy needed to navigate the complexities of running a successful business.
WAACOC’s mission is to promote the growth and success of Black-owned businesses across Washington through advocacy, education, and access to financial resources. We believe that supporting African American entrepreneurs can create a positive ripple effect throughout our communities, contributing to long-term economic prosperity.
Our vision is a future where African American businesses are an integral part of Washington’s economy, providing jobs, driving innovation, and building wealth that benefits not only business owners but also their communities.
The Washington African American Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1950 to address the unique challenges African American entrepreneurs face. Over the years, WAACOC has grown into a leading advocate for Black-owned businesses, providing resources, mentorship, and financial support to help businesses flourish.
WAACOC’s legacy is built on collaboration. We have expanded our reach and impact through partnerships with local governments, financial institutions, and educational organizations.
From advocating for policy changes that benefit minority-owned businesses to hosting educational workshops, WAACOC continues to be a vital resource for entrepreneurs across Washington State.

At WAACOC, our mission is to foster economic growth and prosperity in our community by supporting and advocating for local businesses.
Founded in 1950, Washington African American Chamber of Commerce has been serving the business community for over 70 years. We have a rich history of promoting economic development and community engagement.
We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our members, including networking events, educational seminars, and business advocacy initiatives.
